Partners & technology

A peer group of independent dental laboratory owners and operators focused on learning, growth, and disciplined execution.

Our meetings are built around candid discussion, operational depth, and real implementation. Engagement with external partners is an important and valued part of that process.

The best sessions feel less like presentations and more like working conversations among experienced operators.

Selective by design

TEREC engages a limited number of partners each year

Participation is selective and aligned to the priorities of the group at that time.

  • A limited number of partners each year

Engagement capacity is finite by design.

  • Aligned to current priorities

Participation is selective and aligned to the priorities of the group at that time.

  • Dialogue, not exposure

The goal is not exposure for its own sake. It is meaningful dialogue that explores real-world applicability, implementation requirements, operational impact, financial considerations, and long-term partnership potential.

How engagement works

From introduction to member recommendation

Six stages, each with a defined purpose.

  1. 01

    Introduction

A partner submits the Partner Interest Form. It takes about ten to fifteen minutes and gives the Board what it needs to evaluate fit against the priorities of the coming cycle.

  2. 02

    Board review

Inbound interest is reviewed against the current meeting focus and the group's active priorities. Fit matters more than availability.

  3. 03

    Session or site visit

The partner engages on Vendor Day — hosting a facility visit or leading a focused working session. Formats include a morning site visit or hosted session leading into lunch followed by two to three afternoon vendor sessions; a laboratory tour combined with focused vendor discussions; an industry-adjacent facility tour; or alignment with a larger industry event. In-person is preferred; virtual participation fills gaps when travel or timing require it.

  4. 04

    Debrief

On Saturday morning the group debriefs Vendor Day, identifies key insights, and categorizes items as to-dos, short-term opportunities, or potential projects. Those enter the pillar team lists.

  5. 05

    Project

Where warranted, the work becomes a defined project inside one of the three pillars — Manufacturing, Business Management & Administration, or Customer Engagement. Every project has a single accountable owner, a defined deliverable, a target meeting, and a clear description of the intended result.

  6. 06

    Outcome

The group provides real-world operator feedback, may initiate pilot conversations or formal evaluation, and may produce formal outputs such as frameworks, data summaries, pilot results, or written materials. What the group learns can inform member recommendations.

Our objective is long-term partnership where there is mutual benefit. Engagement is not intended to be one-and-done unless alignment is not present.

Fit

What we value — and what we are not looking for

We value partners who

  • Engage candidly and professionally
  • Share measurable results
  • Discuss pricing and implementation openly
  • Acknowledge both strengths and limitations
  • Are interested in building long-term relationships

We are not looking for

  • A generic sales presentation
  • Trade-show style overviews
  • Basic product introductions
  • Content not tailored to our priorities
  • One-directional presenting with limited discussion

Time should not be spent on basic product overviews unless specifically requested. Members will ask direct questions about operational reality, pricing structure, and implementation lift — candid answers are far more valuable than polished ones.

Levels of participation

Two ways to engage on Vendor Day

Host partner

Broader discussion, deeper exploration.

  • Host a facility visit
  • Provide meeting space
  • Support a dinner or event
  • Dedicate extended time for deeper operational review

Hosting allows for broader discussion and deeper exploration. With that opportunity comes higher expectations for preparation, substance, and engagement.

Participating presenter

A defined slot within a structured day.

  • Lead a focused working session
  • Participate in structured Q&A
  • Present within a defined time block
  • Join virtually when appropriate

A defined slot within a structured day, focused on a specific topic relevant to the group's current priorities.

Whether hosting or presenting, the standard is the same — relevance, clarity, and depth.

What each meeting focuses on

Confidentiality

Candor is the foundation

TEREC operates under a standing confidentiality agreement among members, because candid operational discussion is foundational to the group.

Depending on the scope of engagement or potential project collaboration, TEREC is open to establishing appropriate non-disclosure agreements with participating partners.

Next step

Express interest in partnering

Tell us who you are and what you'd like the group to evaluate. The full Partner Interest Form takes about ten to fifteen minutes and gives the Board what it needs to assess fit against the priorities of the coming cycle.

TEREC values preparation, partnership, and progress. We invest intentionally in those who invest intentionally in us.
